It is To Your Advantage

John 16:7 - "Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you."

Can you imagine being one of the disciples and Jesus telling you that he's about to leave you and go away, but before he leaves he tells you it's actually in your best interest that he leave? On that surface that doesn't make any sense, surely it would be better if he stayed with you!

There are so many things in life that seem to be a disadvantage to us. Maybe it's our physical circumstances, or a health condition. Perhaps it's a monetary concern.

What Jesus does for us, and what God allows to happen in our lives, he ultimately intends to use it for our good to help us grow and be more like Him (Rom. 8:28-29)! Additionally, everything in your life is a tool in his hands which he uses for your sanctification (1 Cor. 3:23).

Whatever you may be going through, Christ's purpose is to use it to your spiritual advantage.
